Who We Are
The calling of the Methodist Church is to respond to the gospel of God's love in Christ and to live out its discipleship in worship and mission, through service and practical caring. In gratitude to God for his love to us in Jesus Christ, we share in this calling to worship, mission, service and practical care. We love him, because he first loved us.
We are part of the church world-wide. How we relate to neighbouring churches and to the Methodist church nationally is explored on the Links page. We meet in Shaw town centre and are led by Rev David Jones, a team of Circuit Staff and local preachers and our Church Stewards.

Rev David Jones David has been with us since September 2007 and was previously based in Hull. |

Mr John Wilson John is our circuit's Youth and Family Worker and has been with us since 2006. |
Changes to St Paul's site and buildings are described in some detail on the History page. However St Paul's Methodist Church has always been a group of people, "living stones" (1 Pet 2:5), not a set of buildings.

Our large hall is available for use by other organisations. Consequently the building is in use for several days of the week, as shown on the Activities page.
